Maria Majoré
I am an architect and an artist, exhibiting at international exhibitions. I graduated from the Academy of Architecture more than twenty years ago and worked in architecture and design for many years. Over time, painting became my personal way of expressing emotions and capturing impressions.
I draw inspiration from national traditions and the color palettes of different cultures, as well as from nature and the simple moments of everyday life. I am especially fond of landscapes, botanical motifs, and portraits and small watercolors that preserve mood and lightness.

My practice combines an interest in tradition with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the world. At times, I turn to national imagery, cultural heritage, and architecture, searching for depth and symbolism. In other works, I focus on the details of nature — flowers, leaves, seascapes — or explore the character and personality of my subjects in portraits. More recently, I have begun creating interior panels.
I work with watercolor, acrylic, oil, and ink, often incorporating gilding to balance transparency with striking accents. For me, each work is about conveying an atmosphere — whether silence, lightness, or the richness of life itself.
